A sitemap is a way of organizing a website, identifying the URLs and the data under each section. Previously, the sitemaps were primarily geared for the users of the website. However, Google's XML format was designed for the search engines, allowing them to find the data faster and more efficiently.

That is the time the URL was last modified. This information allows crawlers to avoid recrawling documents that haven't changed. Our generator will set this field from your server's response "Last-modified" headers when available.

The priority of a particular URL is relative to other pages on the same website. The value for this attribute is a number between 0.0 (lowest) and 1.0 (highest). Our generator will gradually decrease priority depending on the "page depth", i.e. how many clicks away it is from the homepage.

I was getting ready to hire somebody to create a Google XML sitemap for me, but luckily I found your tool before I did. It definitely saved me time and money and I will definitely recommend it to others. It was, fast, quick and easier than I expected.

In our opinion, the best free sitemap generator for smaller websites is XML-Sitemaps.com. If your website has more than 500 indexable URLs, its paid plan offers unlimited URLs at a reasonable price. If you're running a WordPress website, a sitemap created by the all-in-one SEO plugin Yoast SEO is a great option.

A Sitemap XML file is usually computer-generated using a certain format (XML) from a finished visual website structure or a working website. The majority of CMS, such as Wordpress, generate the sitemap file automatically from a finished website. Another way of creating sitemaps is to use services such as the Sitemap Generator.

An XML sitemap file helps search engines like Google analyze the website by describing the hierarchy of pages and their interrelationships. This, in turn, has a positive impact on SEO. Clarity of structure description and syntax used play a vital role in XML sitemaps.

I am trying to generate a sitemap for my react js website using Sitemap Generator extension of googlechrome. ( -generator/hcnjemngcihnhncobgdgkkfkhmleapah?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon). It says it works with reactjs applications. But in my case it doesnt move beyond the base URL. I tried with multiple extensions same behavior is seen with them as well. Check the image below where it shows its stuck on the base link.

I have a problem with the creation of sitemaps via scheduler with custom generator, in aem. Locally, as well as in the various cloud environments where the project is deployed (dev, stage, prod), this situation occurs:

The generator is called correctly, but when I try to open e.g. the usa site /content/site_name/us.sitemap.xml I get a 404 error.
Going to check under the path /var/sitemaps, there is a strange situation: us-sitemap.xml files are created instead of the us folder and then the sitemap.xml file. Even trying to call up the servlet via /content/site_name.us-sitemap.xml does not work.

I cannot figure out what the problem might be, as the sitemap configurations are the same in the two local instances. Unfortunately, in the various Dev, Stage and Prod environments, the same non-working situation occurs as in the first instance.

I had already found that article and I double checked now. I think I've followed all the guidelines correctly. It is really strange how the path gets created like us-sitemap.xml, under the var folder.
