Slickrun short cut (windows + q) doesn't work after vista 32-bit update?

as said, after having updated vista with some automatic patches
somehow my slickrun keyboard shortcut doesnt work. changing it doesnt
help.

any ideas?

What does "Changing it doesn't help" mean? What did you try to change
it to? Have you rebooted after changing it?

Generally speaking, there shouldn't be any problems here. FWIW, some
programs (particularly Microsoft Office Communicator) will "steal"
SlickRun's hotkey if you start those programs before SlickRun.

Changing the shortcut key to e.g. W from Q, and using, alt, ctrl or shift instead of the windows key. neither will help, nor after reboot.

I have experimented a bit with closing potential culprit programs, and restarting slickrun, but no luck yet. I will continue to follow that track. Any other advice you can give?
