"Error reading Image1.Picture.Data: Metafile is not valid" after installation

I have a problem with Slickrun that I am just not able to solve. I am trying to install the program on my PC using Windows 7 x64. Direct after installation I receive the following error message: "Error reading Image1.Picture.Data: Metafile is not valid." After that the program runs, but when I try to access the setup menu I always get an error message like "Access violation at address 0124B6A in module 'sr.exe'."

I tried to install the beta version and an older version with the same result. I just know the problem is in my PC, because SlickRun always worked fine for me. Does anyone have an idea?

This generally suggests that the file on disk is corrupt; you should consider redownloading from https://bayden.com/dl/sr-setup.exe and see whether that helps at all. If not, your next step should be to run the Windows Memory Diagnostic and Disk Check on your PC to see how the data is getting corrupted.

Do you have all of the latest updates from Windows Update installed?
