Having trouble viewing this email? View it as a webpage. Governor’s New Recommended Budget – get your questions answered! Michigan’s hard work and shared sacrifices are paying off. The fiscal discipline and major policy reforms enacted last year are now allowing us to make more thoughtful, strategic and long-term investments in our state that will benefit current and future generations. But we have more to accomplish. This Thursday, I will join Gov. Rick Snyder and State Budget Director John Nixon in presenting our proposed Fiscal Year 2013 State Budget. Our insistence on accountability to you -- the taxpayer -- will not waiver. The budget will highlight priority areas such as education, health and human services, public safety, and infrastructure that includes our roads and bridges. You can watch the presentation live from Lansing by clicking here at 11 AM EST on Thursday. The opportunity to engage with our administration doesn’t end there. We understand you have questions about the impact of this budget proposal. So, on Thursday evening at 6:30 PM EST, Governor Snyder will host a live interactive online town hall event. The meeting will stream live at www.facebook.com/rickformichigan and there are several ways you can participate. You can submit questions in advance at www.michigan.gov/townhall, post them to Governor Snyder’s Facebook wall or send a message on Twitter to @OneToughNerd using the hashtag #AskGovSnyder. Or, just log on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. EST and watch live. You can also submit questions using Facebook and Twitter once the meeting has started. I hope you’ll join us for the conversation. Sincerely,
