Ladies and gentlemen:
It is a privilege to announce that the Bay County Republican Party has a 2010 campaign headquarters!!
We are located on the lower level of the Garner Ayres Building, 1201 S. Euclid Ave., at the corner of Ionia St., on the west side of Bay City. This is the same building we had in 2008, only we're on the lower level this year, not the upper.
We secured the keys yesterday. Our thanks to Dr. Phil Englehardt and his brother Emmons Englehardt for allowing us to use their building again as our headquarters.
Right now, the place is pretty plain (save for some signs received at the state convention, our banner and the U.S. flag). If you have decorations, signs, literature or whatever else to donate for the headquarters, please let me know. I've contacted the Rick Snyder, Bill Schuette and Ruth Johnson campaigns and will be contacting others about donating literature, signs, etc, for the headquarters. Local candidates are most welcome and encouraged to drop off some literature and signs as well.
Some appropriate grand opening festivities are in the works for sometime (hopefully) in mid-September. We'll keep you posted on that. In addition, our monthly meetings will now be at headquarters instead of BARTS.
This is a tremendously exciting time for the Bay County GOP! Will you join us!
