to Bay County Republican Party
Friends and fellow Republicans,

As you may know, today is formally my final day as the chairman of the Bay County Republican Party.

I want to take a moment and thank each and every one of you again for the opportunity to serve as your chairman over the past three years. It has been a tremendous personal and professional privilege of mine to do so. You as individuals and collectively as a Party mean so very much to me because rare indeed is the group of Republicans who work so diligently toward our success.

Those who know me well are quite aware of my appreciation of British politics. As I sign off for the final time, I leave you with a quote from Tony Blair, the former British prime minister, just before he left the House of Commons for the last time on his final day in office: "Some may belittle politics, but we who are engaged in it know that it is where people stand tall. Although it has its many harsh contentions, it is still the arena that sets the heart beating a little faster. If it is on occasions the place of low skulduggery, it is more often the place for the pursuit of noble causes. I wish everyone, friend or foe, well. And that is that. The end."

Aaron
