Subject: Share and sign up: Help protect Point Reyes & Tomales Bay from Roundup (glyphosate)
Dear Friends,
Please consider doing 2 things to oppose the proposed glyphosate (Roundup) spraying on state park and national lands at Point Reyes and Tomales Bay:
Forward this email to anyone who cares about the health of West Marin's lands, waters, and communities.
Sign up via the contact form below to keep informed about this proposal and ways we can take action to oppose it.
We are moving to organize as the Stop the Spray, Save Our Bay to oppose the spraying and will soon invite you to a kick-off informational meeting, currently being planned. The meeting will cover:
What herbicide programs are proposed or underway at Tomales Bay State Park and Point Reyes National Seashore
What is known about the environmental and public health implications for our watershed, wildlife, and food systems
Where the legal fights stand -- and where community engagement can make a real difference
Please complete this brief form to be invited to the meeting and help us organize:

Tomales Bay and Point Reyes are among California's most treasured landscapes, providing clean water, wildlife habitat, local food production and a connection to the natural world that generations of Marin families have cherished. The proposed herbicide use threatens all of this -- and the legal and regulatory decisions now unfolding at the federal, state, and local levels mean that community voices are urgently needed right now.
Bayer (formerly Monsanto) has paid over $12 billion settling cancer lawsuits linked to Roundup (glyphosate) -- yet California State Parks and the National Park Service are now proposing to spray it on public lands draining directly into Tomales Bay and our community watershed. This threatens our clean water, wildlife habitat, and local food production (e.g., oyster farms).
