People with disabilities have a long, ongoing history of being targeted by systems of oppression. For over fifty years, we have been organizing for the right to live in the community and to access education, healthcare, ho us ing, and public transportation, to name j us t a few. Our victories have always expanded civil rights and benefited all people, improving society as a whole. While there is still much more to do and our contributions are needed now more than ever, many of the same access barriers we have long fought against are still present in our movements. To that end, we are asking to meet with you to offer our perspective, get yours, and make plans to more effectively work together toward our shared goals.
You are welcome to reach out to Andrea Jones Klein who is coordinating and facilitating the meeting @ ajorg...@proton.me with any questions you may have.
In solidarity,
