Los Gatos Youth Theatre (LGYT) announces auditions for:

The Lion King, Jr.

 

Music and Lyrics by Elton John & Tim Rice

Book by Roger Allers & Irene Mecchi

Directed by Brian Houg

Actors: Age 9-13 (entering 4th grade through middle school)

All who audition are cast.

 

Where: Los Gatos (address provided during application process)

 

Auditions: 

 

Attend One (Vocals & Reading):

Monday, April 24, 5:30-7:30 or Tuesday, April 25, 5:30-7:30

 

Attend Both (Choreography):

Thursday, April 27, 5:30-7:30
Friday, April 28, 5:30-8:30

 

Callbacks - Saturday, April 29 10:00-2:00 - (Specific times will be given)

 

Rehearsals: Weekday evenings and Saturdays beginning May 1

  

Application process: Complete all 3 steps prior to auditions:

1.   Register Online at Los Gatos Saratoga Recreation

2.   Complete the LGYT online application

3.   Complete the LGYT  paper application and bring to auditions

 

Audition Requirements:

Vocals - Prepare a song of your choice for a one-minute audition.  Please bring accompaniment (on MP3 player or cd) or prepare the song provided at LGYT.net

Dance - Be prepared to move.  You will be taught a simple movement combination.  Wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

Acting - You will be given lines at the audition.

Thursday, July 13 at 7pm

Friday, July 14 at 1pm & 7pm

Saturday, July 15 at 2pm & 7pm

Sunday, July 16 at 1pm
