Rehearsal & Performance Information
- Rehearsals: Tentatively begin (depending on cast conflicts) on July 12th , 2026. Rehearsals are generally Sundays - Thursday evenings 7pm -10pm with Tech Sunday on 8/30
- Performances: Sep 4th - Sep 27th Performing on Fri & Sat evenings @ 8pm & Sun Matinees @ 2pm and one Thu on Sep 10th @ 8pm
Audition Information
- Auditions: Saturday 2/28/26 10am - 1pm & Sunday 3/1/26 10am - 1pm. Appointment slots are 30 minutes apart / 5 auditioners per slot. To sign up:
- Callbacks: (by appt. only) Saturday 3/7/26 10am-2pm

- Audition Requirements: Actors will read Selected Sides for roles desired (see character descriptions below). No monologue required. Please bring a hardcopy of your headshot and resume (if you have one) and please complete the Audition Form and Conflict Calendar included in the audition packet located at the following link:

Play Synopsis
Middle aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Bucks County, PA, where
they bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly their
movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old
resentments flare up, eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Also on
the scene are sassy maid Cassandra, who can predict the future, and a lovely
young aspiring actress named Nina, whose prettiness somewhat worries the
imperious Masha.
Character Descriptions:
Vanya – 50’s, living in Bucks County. Resigned to his life, more or less, at least compared to Sonia, any ethnicity.
Sonia – his adopted sister, early 50’s, living with him in Bucks County. Discontent, upset, regretful, any ethnicity. (Does a Maggie Smith accent.)
Masha – his sister, 50’s, glamorous and successful actress who goes gallivanting around the world, any ethnicity.
Spike – an aspiring actor, 29 or younger, Masha’s new companion. Sexy, self-absorbed, but otherwise outgoing and friendly, any ethnicity. (Appears on stage in his underwear.)
Nina – lovely, sincere would-be actress, early 20’s, visiting her aunt and uncle next door. Star struck, earnest and energetic, any ethnicity.
Cassandra – cleaning lady and soothsayer, any age, any ethnicity.
