Same Shi-ot Different Day is a Musical Comedy/Drama written and directed by L'i Smith.

The Play will run three shows on July 11th and 12th (2 performances on 7/11, 1 performance on 7/12) at the Calvin Simmons Theater at the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center.
Rehearsals will begin the first week of May 2026.
SSDD is a fun, entertaining play about a day in the life of O.G. Li' is an African American man trying to make it as a starving upcoming comedian while dealing with daily life struggles. Life struggles. The message in the end is that no matter what we are going through no struggle is too hard to overcome if you put your faith in the King.
What we are looking for and pay scale.
CHARACTERS:
Lil BiT - A handsome, charismatic, middle-aged male with no job, but who has all the advice in the world on every subject.
Male Actor/Singer, African American, between 250-300 lbs
Pay $2,000
Nicole- a beautiful middle-aged female, separated from her husband. She is high-spirited, a strong woman who knows her worth and will stand ten toes down on that. She has unwavering faith in the Lord and will never give up on her marriage
Female Actress/ Singer, African American- Pay $2,000
Chil Will is a middle-aged man who has smoked far more marijuana than his share in his lifetime. Not the sharpest tool in the toolbox. He is separated from his wife, Nicole, because he can't keep a job and doesn't understand that she is the Queen of the household.
Male Actor/Singer, African American- Pay $2,000
ENSEMBLE: Male and Female Dancers, all ethnicities experienced in hip-hop and jazz- Pay $1,500
