Calico Theatre Company Seeks performers to audition for our upcoming showcase event. Information below, performer stipends available. Also seeking a Stage Management team. South Bay based company, artists from all regions welcome.

Who we are: Our community welcomes theatre-makers who identify as Disabled, Neurodivergent, living with mental illness, living with chronic illness, those who are self-diagnosed (we acknowledge the barriers to formal diagnosis), and all those who are allies and advocates of the Disabled community.

Event: Auditions for our "Calico Spooktacular Fall Fundraiser & Showcase"

Event location and date: A virtual performance on Sunday September 27th (time TBD) and an in-person fundraiser and showcase performance event on Thursday October 8th 6-9pm at Sweet Memories Event Hall, 14922 Camden Ave, San Jose. Artists can select which performance they will do (in-person, virtual, or both) at the time of audition.

Audition location: In-person at City Lights Theater Company (529 S. Second Street, San Jose, CA 95112), or follow link for info on virtual and video submissions.

Audition Dates & Times: In-person on Wednesday May 27th (3-9pm) and Sunday May 31st (7-10pm)

Audition Instructions: Please use the provided audition link to sign up for a 10-minute slot or a virtual or video submission. Bring your best monologue, dance piece, song, storytelling or oral interpretation piece, original comedy sketch, poetry or spoken word, or other short selection for performance. Original writing is happily accepted! Pieces can be on the subject of the Disabled/Neurodivergent experience...or not! We will choose a variety for our showcase.
