Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre presents auditions for:  JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT

One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song, the musical follows preferred son Joseph, who is sold into slavery by his brothers. He ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018!

Key Dates

Children’s Audition: (age 12 and under)

·       Monday March 11, 2019 at 7:00pm

Children will be taught a short dance routine and music from the show. Children must arrive dressed to dance. Please have children bring a completed audition form with all rehearsal conflicts listed. Please also supply a current picture or headshot for your child.

Teen and Adult Audition (ages 13 +)

·       Saturday March 9, 2019 11:00am OR

·       Sunday March 10th 6:00pm

No appointments necessary. Auditions are First come, First seen.

Auditions will be held at the Tri-Valley Repertory rehearsal space 1020 Serpentine Lane Suite 101 in Pleasanton, CA 94566

What to Bring to Your Audition

·       Comfortable clothes for dancing

·       Covered shoes for dancing (No thongs, sandals OR bare feet.)

·       Water bottle

·       Your completed audition form, current resume and headshot or picture

·       16-32 bars of Broadway up beat, up tempo. Sheet music in your own key NO transposing, tapes, or A Capella....An accompanist will be provided.
