$40 Industry Night at "Over the River" on Wednesday

Hi, Bummers! City Lights in downtown San Jose has added a Wednesday performance on Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. of Joe DiPietro's touching comedy "Over the River and Through the Woods." All seats are $40! We're calling it Industry Night, since we know Wednesdays might be easier for you to attend other shows, but non-theater people are welcome. We love them, too.

Directed by Jeffrey Bracco, the show features Karen DeHart, John Mannion, Deb Anderson, Joseph "Joe" Walters, Filip Hofman and Delaney Bantillo. It's getting great reviews, and audience members are doing lots of laugh-crying. Here's the synopsis:

A single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey, Nick still sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. Then he’s offered a dream job thousands of miles away in Seattle. This news doesn’t go over well with his grandparents. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick nearby. Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma do their level best, including bringing to dinner the lovely Caitlin O’Hare as bait.
