Actors needed for Short Video portraying Alzheimer's patients and Caregivers. PAID

AUDITIONS: July 7th,10th and 11th from 5 to 8 p.m. at  2542 S Bascom Ave., Campbell, CA  95008 (if you cannot make any of these dates/times please contact us to make an alternative appointment date.)

• Audition will consist of reading from a rough draft of the script. Actors interested in auditioning will be given a copy of the script in advance.

• Actors may audition for any role, but will only be cast in one role and will only receive one stipend.

Caring Light Project is looking for actors to portray people with Alzheimer’s disease and their respective family caregivers in a series of short filmed scenes. Each role will be paid a $400 stipend.

These short, approximately 2 minute scenes have been designed to give caregivers options for how to improve care and communication with their family members with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. These videos will be used in the Caring Light App., which is being developed by Photozig, Inc., in collaboration with Stanford University, the Alzheimer’s Association, and funded by the National Institute on Aging.

Roles: (two characters per scene, each role will be played by a different actor, age ranges are approximate)

Mother 1 (Alzheimer’s patient -- 55 and up) Daughter  (caregiver -- 35-60)

Mother 2 (Alzheimer’s patient -- 55 and up) Son  (Caregiver --35--60)

Wife (Alzheimer’s patient - 55 and up) Husband (Caregiver - 45 and up)

Grandmother (Alzheimer’s patient -- 55 and up)

Narrator 1 and 2 - Females, any age

Filming will take place on August 12 and 13 for ALL ACTORS EXCEPT NARRATORS

Filming will take place on August 19th for NARRATORS

ALL ACTORS will also need to be available on August 20th for a possible re-shoot

Filming location will be in the San Jose area.
