The New Conservatory Theatre Center is pleased to announce auditions
for their 2009-2010 West Coast Premiere production of Boys Will Be
Boys Lyrics/Dialogue by Joe Miloscia
Music by Kenneth Kacmar. Directed by Andrew Nance; Musical Direction
by G. Scott Lacy and Choreography by Stephanie Temple.
About the show:
When Ishmael Gonzalez runs out of money, five of his friends skip to
the rescue to perform a one-night-only benefit just for him. A lyrical
romp of loves won, lost, and borrowed, Boys Will Be Boys highlights
the essential fabulosity of being who you really are.
Casting the following roles (Non-AEA ONLY):
BOBBY: mid-20's; gay; cute and “big-boned;” enthusiastic with a fierce
intensity; a true
theatre queen; he fancies himself a bit of a fashion plate (which he
isn't); the
other guys love to push his buttons, but they adore him.
WILLSON: mid-30's; gay; wry, acerbic and extremely witty with a dry
sarcasm, the most
“mature” of the group with an air that may come across as arrogance.
TYLER: late-20's-early-30's; straight acting; clean-cut, wholesome and
a bit reserved,
but these still waters run deep.
LUKE: early-30's; gay; tall, hunky and handsome with an easy-going
friendliness and
Mischievousness.

Saturday January 9th, 2010
1:30-4:30pm (General Auditions/by appointment only)
January 25th, 2010
7-10pm (Callbacks at director’s request).
Where: The New Conservatory Theater Center 25 Van Ness @ Market, Lower
Lobby.
Prepare: 2 minute contemporary monologue along with 32 bars of a
contemporary (comedic if possible) musical theater song. Correct key.
No CD’s/tracks. Accompanist will be provided. Please be prepared to
move.
