Teatro seeks Sound Engineer

Teatro Vision is seeking a Sound Engineer to mix mics and run playback for LA MUERTE BAILA which runs Oct. 9-19 at Mexican Heritage Plaza Theater in San Jose.

Sound Engineer duties:

• Attend one run through rehearsal
• Attend zoom meeting about sound reinforcement for 3 musicians with Russell (music director) .
• Attend zoom paper tech. meeting
• Load sound equipment and set playback base levels in theater.
• Run mic check with musicians before house opens
• Run playback fx and sound reinforcement for all tech rehearsals and performances.
• Contract pays $18.00 an hour clocking in and out on time sheet.

There are no body nics or stand mics for musicians. We are using aerial mics hung above where musicians will be located on SR platforms.

One of the musicians will be playing one song on an electric guitar with with amp.
