TheatreWorks is hosting a Master Class with Tony-nominee Euan Morton
Monday April 15, 7:00 - 10:00 pm
"Music as a Communication Tool for Actors"
Come work on your music theatre song with Euan Morton, currently starring in BEING EARNEST, a world premiere musical at TheatreWorks.
Actors-who-sing are welcome!
His approach focuses on the idea that you are telling a story when you deliver a song, and on the importance of singing as one of your performance tools. This will not be a singing technique class.
Up to 15 participants will each work on a song with Mr. Morton, followed by a question & answer session. Please pick a song which is your favorite story, or bring your book. This will be a working session, so "come as you are," not in recital clothes or in costume. A pianist will be provided.
There is additional space for up to 20 observers who do not wish to perform. Kids are welcome as either participants or observers, but need to be at least 12 years old.
Mr. Morton is an actor, singer and teacher. He recently taught six master classes at Yale University and has been a teaching artist and workshop leader for many theatres and schools across the country. He is best known for his role as Boy George in the musical Taboo, receiving nominations for the Laurence Olivier Award and Tony Award for his performance. Other Broadway performances include Sondheim on Sondheim and Cyrano de Bergerac. For more information about how great he is, please take a look at www.euanmorton.com.
Fee: $75 in advance. To register, click on this link and you will be prompted to follow the instructions https://theatreworks.ejoinme.org/MasterClass
