Join UK performance artist and senior lecturer, Louie Jenkins and San Francisco-based theatre maker, Mark Jackson at Z Space for an original and exciting Summer Intensive in new approaches to making theatre.

This full-time program will take place June 24 to July 6, 2013 and will bring together emergent artists from the Bay Area with those from the UK. Participants will engage in an extensive series of activities focused on devising and performance making, which will lead to a ‘sharing’ event at Z Space on July 6.

This Summer Intensive is a perfect opportunity for established and emerging theatre practitioners, as well as university-level students who are interested in dynamic theatre making:

 Work with a leading UK university performance community.

 Contribute to a dialogue on contemporary theatre.

 Challenge and extend your performance-making ideas and

techniques.

 Develop your network of fellow artists.

 Perform your work at Z Space.

If you have a passion for innovative theatre and you wish to challenge expectations (yours and others) through working within a critical and demanding community of artists, then this program is for you!
