I'm Carissa, a driven young filmmaker attending USC film school next fall. We are seeking two leading actors for an upcoming 10-minute narrative short film "Valor".

Location: Within 10 miles of Los Altos (Mountain View, Palo Alto, Cupertino, etc.)

March 6: 3:30 PM – 6:30PM (Eli only)
Rehearsals: Wednesdays during lunch (Flexible)
Possible reshoots TBD.

Open Role Eli Valor (15-25) — Lead, any ethnicity
Since Eli comes from a lineage of powerful superheroes, he faces high expectations. He desperately wants to prove himself to the world, to his mom, and to himself following a failed rescue attempt. Occasionally reckless and doesn't think things through, but has good intentions. He pushes back against what his mother wants for him, but ultimately always looks up to her. Determined, but still youthful and humorous at heart.

Open Role Adira Valor (35-70) — Supporting, any ethnicity
Adira Valor is a world-renowned superhero with an unblemished public record—commanding, disciplined, and deeply respected. Beneath her composed exterior is a fiercely loving mother who wants nothing more than to protect her son, Eli. Her belief in preparation, restraint, and reputation stems from a quiet fear of failure and a desire to keep Eli safe in an unforgiving world.
This role requires an actor who can balance authority with tenderness, portraying a woman whose love sometimes manifests as control—and who must learn to trust the hero her son is becoming.
