Good evening all

Therese and Leo” is a drama set in Vienna at the turn of the 20th century. Its subject is Zionism, and also the crisis in classical music that occurred when composers like Arnold Schoenberg went dissonant and atonal.

The draft is ready for a table read. We’ll begin with two scenes from the play, meeting at a home in Berkeley on a day in late August or early September.

One of the scenes (Scene 5, pages 24-27) features a young man (18-35 years old) who is a pianist, playing a few minutes of music.  The person does not need to be an actor, because he has only one line at the beginning of the scene; then he plays music for a few minutes, 5 minutes maximum.  The music will transition from a light Viennese Waltz into, say, something like a piano version of the first movement of Mahler’s 5th symphony

The website introducing the play is here: www.barglow.com/therese.

Payment will be $125.

Please contact me via email if you know of someone (yourself or someone else) who might be interested.  Will be happy to discuss this project with you.

Thanks,
