Audition Information for "Signs of the Kingdom”
Open auditions for the staged-reading of a new musical Signs of the Kingdom by Christopher Wemp, directed by Ciera Eis. The musical focuses on modern day homelessness and dignified response. Actors with lived experience of homelessness or other forms of housing instability are especially encouraged to audition.

Synopsis:
Ana, a strong-willed unhoused woman, grapples with daily survival amidst a community bitterly divided on how to end homelessness. She interacts with a social worker, a priest, and a council member who all want to help, but after two dramatic events shake the local community, her circumstances are inadvertently made worse despite the communities best intentions.

FATHER TYLER DORIN (Tenor B2-Bb4) - a Catholic pastor
JEFFREY BOSNEY (Baritone C3-G4) - an overwhelmed city council member and longtime friend of Fr. Tyler.
LAURA SEEKS (Alto or Soprano 2 A3-D5) - a new licensed clinical social worker
MARTIN ORLOS (Tenor 2 or Baritone C3-F4) - a calculating city councilmember.
Six Ensemble Roles: including Raya Banks, Andrew Dowd, Jamie Harklin, Mayor, Judge
