San Leandro Players: Great Role Open for "Thunder Rock"!

MELANIE KURTZ -- the daughter of Stefan and Anne Marie, is young, lovely, at first merely tempestuous and quarrelsome.  After her re-conception, she becomes the more dignified figure of a rebel who cannot rebel.  Light Austrian/German accent (20's-30's).

"THUNDER ROCK":  On the eve of World War II, a man seeks solace in a lighthouse on Lake Michigan as he flees the world and its problems.  When all looks darkest, a collection of ghostly figures help him find the strength and courage to rejoin the world of the living.  This play's determined message is uniquely relevant for today. 

Non-AEA, no pay.  

Rehearsals:

From September 2 to October 23 (Monday thru Thursday 7-9 pm September 2 through October 16, and 7-9:30pm October 20 through October 23), plus October 24 (dress rehearsal). 

 

Performances:

October 25 thru November 23; Saturdays at 8pm; Sundays at 2pm PLUS Fridays at 8pm November 14 and 21.
