April Garro is a Trans artist, clown, improviser, teacher, and actor. California grown, they’ve been studying performance arts for over a decade. Through performances and teachings, April utilizes physicality focusing on connection and exploration. For the past 12 years they have worked as a haunt
actor at the haunted theme park, Pirates of Emerson. Combining their love of clowning and the thrill of haunting, Loony the clown was created in 2019 with the intention to have more fun!
Church of Clown is a theatre and school in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley with a focus on physical theatre and clowning. Our purpose is to embolden humanity through community, teach resiliency through humor, find humility through service and nurture inspiration through joy.
