Dear Devotees of the Bay Area Sanga,

We are fortunate to have Srila Bhakti Vicar Bishnu Maharaja, one of the present Acaryas of the Sri Krsna Caitanya Mission visiting the Bay Area again Friday, May 30th thru Sunday June 1st. He will give three programs. He visited last year, and has had several visits to the Bay Area over the years. He will stay at our home in Walnut Creek and have 3 evening programs at different devotees homes.

When Maharaja comes - he will be accompanied by our very own Laksmipati Prabhu (BV Narayana Maharaja disciple, TX) who took sannyasa from Bishnu Maharaja and who is now Bhakti Kinkari Madhava Maharaja!

BV Bishnu Maharaj is one of the original leaders of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mission in Digapahandi, Vrindavan, Berhampur and Mayapur. The temples Dighapahandi, Berhampur and Mayapur are still under his careful guidance. Maharaj is also the world coordinator and one of the original members of the Vaisnava World Association, vice president from the beginning of 2004 to the present. Maharaj is the current Acharya of the Mission of Sri Krishna Chaitanya, and has established the International Krishna Chaitanya Mission Organization which, under his guidance and inspiration continues to promote and open centers in countries around the world.

Srila Bishnu Maharaj has always been an enthusiastic preacher and considers that it is the work of his life to preach and carefully explain bhakti to Krishna, pure devotion to Sri Guru, service to the Vaisnavas, and Gaudiya siddhanta for the benefit of the whole world so that they may be blessed and may accept the refuge of the spiritual life.

“Three types of sons are there: uttama, madhyama, kanistha. A fourth type of son is compared to urine. A son who knows what his father wants him to do is a first-class son. One who acts according to the direction of his father is a second-class son. One who executes his father's orders irrelevantly is a third-class son. But one who refuses to follow his father's order is like the father's urine. The same goes with sisyas. The guru is the spiritual father, the sisyas are his children. There are also three types of disciples. The fourth class is not a disciple.”
