There's always a risk that it's a hike-n-hike vs hike-n-huck! I'm not about to fly if it's stupid windy... but I'll take a look.
Hope to see ya there

I'm going up. Will be there at 12:30 to hike (with my massively heavy comp flying kit). Anyone interested in joining?

Hike&Huckers
How was flying today?
I hiked back up Mt Vaca after sinking 1k below launch. While watching Fifield climb to 7.5k & XC 25km landing at Dixon. Love that hiking!

We had a showing of 5 pilots including 2 tandems. I believe there were also several people who flew earlier in the day. Great hiking weather. Winds were fairly strong from the NW when we set out but dropped significantly and were beginning to switch West when I launched at 6. Kevin and I both had relatively short but pleasant flights. Bruce and one of the tandem wings were still in the air when I left at around 6:30
Fun evening all in all.
What's the situation with Mt. Vaca. - is this a new site? I haven't heard about it before.
