Welcome Message and Current Status

Thanks for coming! I have created this group to serve as my temporary
mailing list while I build my website.

This project is focused on building an online community that connects
bay area artists and arts organizations with the community at large by
giving them the tools to promote and fundraise for their projects
online. This will use a micro-philanthropy model. With this website,
artists and arts organizations will be able to set up project pages
with fundraising goals and raise money in small increments ($5 - $50)
from the public! The public will be able to browse a database of local
arts projects and financially contribute to projects they like and want
to support!

Currently I am awaiting a prototype of my site which should be ready in
a few days. I will be ready to do some testing in the next couple of
weeks. If you are interested in being a beta tester, please let me
know!
