Hello Ming-Yen,
I haven’t used Power BI, so I don’t know, but this is a great question for the IEP Data Science PWT listserv, so I’ve copied them in on the email.
A quick Google search yields a few potential helpful packages and tutorials, but maybe someone else on this list has experience?

Subject: Can we use R in Power BI?
Hi Rosemary and Ted,
How are you? Just want to say thank you again for organizing the R training and providing support during the class. It’s a very good learning experience for someone like me as a R beginner.
I have one question that needs your advices and opinions. We currently have several Excel tools that use VBA to retrieve data from database, process data, and then generate reports or info for other tools. I am exploring the possibility and feasibility to use Power BI since my understanding is that we can use Power BI to create a user-friendly dashboard and generate better figures/tables. I am wondering what script we can use in Power BI for retrieving data, and find that R is one of the options. Just wondering do you have any experiences using R in Power BI? Can we develop a R script so that the users can just click one button in Power BI to execute the entire data retrieval/manipulation process?
Any thoughts or comments from you will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
