Your advice on a bike ride to Davis from Vallejo?

Hi Bay Area BOBs,

Your advice, please? On a Saturday within the next month or so, I'm thinking of riding my bike from Vallejo to Davis. My daughter is at school at UC Davis. Here's a bike route that I found online:

Your thoughts on this route? Do you know of an easier route and/or a more scenic route? Please tell.

I plan to catch the train back to San Francisco (Richmond BART, to be exact) on Sunday. Make sense? Any thoughts?

Looks pretty good. North of 80 is, in my opinion, far more scenic and calmer than the farm roads south of 80. Staying closer to 80 going through Vacaville and Dixon would only shorten the route a few miles, and it would be noisy and more heavily trafficed.
