Hi friends,

I have a late 80s Ritchey MTB that was unfortunately in a roof rack accident. The top tube is damaged, and it is not rideable as is. If you have the skills, or know a friend who can replace the top tube, this would make a great around town or retro MTB. Includes the original fork, which itself is probably worth $100+.

The size is approximately 21" seat tube - this is a "large," level top tube bike for some someone around 6'.

I'm not sure of the model, but it's a TIG'ed model from Japan, with a U-brake for the rear. But the seat cluster is fillet brazed by Tom, as they all were.

It currently has a King HS installed on it. If you'd like it, I'll include it for $100, picked up in Rockridge.

Let me know if you're interested.  Thanks, Greg

Hi Greg.  Do you happen to have a pic of the bike and damage?  I'm just having a hard time picturing top tube damage from a roof rack incident that doesn't maybe result in some stresses elsewhere to the frame.

Thanks!
