Usual meetings at the TechShop San Jose and Noisebridge, I believe. I know the TechShop San Jose meetings are every Wednesday at 7:00 PM to midnight, unless otherwise stated. Not sure about Noisebridge.

Hello! my name is Austin, and I am an electrical/computer engineering student and CSU, Chico, and am on my fourth year with probably another to go. I have had a fascination with 3D printing since high school, but have never been in an area to talk to others about it. Since you are just about the closest group to where I am, I would be interested in trying to get involved. I'm currently based in Chico, but I think I can get down to the bay area every once in a while. I was wondering where the usual meeting area is, and who's in charge. Glad to have found this, and looking forward to meeting you all!

@Tim,

Just saw your post of bay-area-reprap and then took a look at your website. Would you or others you know benefit from a free account on www.3DHacker.com?

I think it's great that your educating so many about 3D printing. Perhaps we could collaborate and any student which creates something can have a free account to "showcase" their things. (Or the fablabs around you get showcase accounts to show things they're building or printing.)

Let me know, it might be a great way to help you and get content on 3DHacker.

Andrew

Also, the Noisebridge Meetings are much less action packed than they used to be, but the best time, in my humble opinion is something that the san francisco and the south bay folks do together at TechShop Menlo Park called M9 (Multi-(m)something (m)something (m)something Madness). This usually happens about once a month.
