February 14th-- CCL?

Unfortunately the last BAAM meeting got scheduled during the East Bay Permaculture Guild meeting. Can we try and move towards a regular monthly meeting? As much as I like the potential of a moonlit mushroom search if we meet on the full moon, I propose the last Monday of every month. 1) It doesn't seem to conflict with a monthly meeting I know of competing for many of us, the Guild meets 2nd Monday, 1st Monday=Culinary meetup of MSSF and I believe someone 3rd was one too. 2) Allows us to recap what happened over a month within BAAM works & gear up & look ahead for next month's events, 3) possibly be good timing for getting a newsletter out around beginning of month...Is anyone else interested in working on a newsletter by the way?

My primary question for this post however, was to check in about February 14th. I was informed by Ken & believe it was discussed at our last meeting that some folks around CCL and Ken had discussed potentially doing a few different things people could plug into, riffing off Valentine's Day, like for example CCL's Ghost Heart project. I have been wanting to get a formal dye workshop set on a weekend, so was thinking, in addition to Ken's invitation, to have one on that date too. I would like to do a more formal, paid workshop with more colors than the last informal one. I already have a list of names from the fungus fair from those interested in attending another dye workshop. I think I have just enough time to get this happening, but I'd like to send the invite out to my list serve ASAP. Can someone please fill me in? Is this event happening? My only special desire would be to make sure I could utilize the downstairs stove again because it would be way easier than using hot plates. If anyone is interested in helping support me put it on too, please message me as the workshops often require quite a bit of prep & I really do appreciate at least one other set of hands. THANKS! Please let me know ASAP re: if I can set this date for a more formal mushroom dye event & what else is planned (if it is) on this date!

Hey Allison,

Tomorrow night is the CCL working meeting where the Valentine's event will be discussed. Kathy is the main coordinator. 

As far as I know the event is on, which is why I announced it at the BAAM meeting for BAAM members to participate. It looks like the Valentine's Day event is actually happening on Sat the 14th so attendees can spend the actual Valentine's Day with their Valentines.

If you are charging to get paid then there will probably be some sharing of your take with CCL/Omni.
