Bay Area Radical Mycology

Hi there,

Welcome to the Bay Area Radical Mycology (BARM) e-mail message board! This is an open forum, so please feel free to respond openly and to create your own threads on mycological matters. Please note that your replies to group e-mails are automatically shared with the rest of the group. If you’d like to privately respond to an e-mail, change the recipient. Otherwise, if you’d like to start a new thread, e-mailing bay-area-radical-mycology@googlegroups.com will do so.

Now that you’re on board, the best way to connect with members of our group is to introduce yourself! You can mention your location, interests, work, things you love to do with your time, how you heard about us, why you’re interested in our mission, and most importantly, what you hope to get out of your experience with the group. This is one of those few opportunities in life to brag about yourself! You never know what connections you’ll make until you put the word out there :)

Because we work with our mission in mind, we hope you have a strong understanding of why we exist:

Our Mission

As mycological activists, BARM's mission is to eliminate and prevent environmental degradation by

  1. employing simple fungal, plant, and microbial methods

  2. educating the public on these methods

  3. informing the public of jeopardized environments and the actions required to effect immediate intervention

As part of our intention to connect with other local grassroots communities and environmental groups, we'd like you to share relevant announcements and call-outs from other groups, but please respect BARM's message board by sharing only pertinent announcements.

We're excited in your interest to join us in our mission. Thank you and we're looking forward to hearing from you!
