O25 Midwinters series survey for 2025-26 RESULTS ❄️⛵️❄️

Here are the results of the midwinters poll. We received 7 votes by google form, and one over email, for a total of 8 votes. Reminder the idea was to used ranked-choice voting so we could eliminate options until one had a clear majority. It turns out that no ranking was required as only two choices received any first place votes. Here are the results, with the vote split details at the bottom of this message:

1. EYC Jack Frost, 1st Sat Nov-Feb, 2Races, Berkeley Pier, $150 -> 5 votes
2. SYC 1D RegattaPro, 2nd Sat Nov-Feb, 2Races, Berkeley Circle, $150 -> 3 votes

Thus, for the fleet meeting on 9/28: Motion to confirm EYC Jack Frost as the midwinter series for 2025-26. The projected dates for the races are: 11/1/25, 12/6/25, 1/3/26, 2/7/26. No time like now to start securing crew!
