Hi all,

I recently discovered the plate that sits above the compression post on our boat has a significant crack radiating out on the starboard side. Has anyone dealt with this before?

Would be curious to hear if anyone has thoughts on the urgency of the repair, possible causes of the damage, the best material to replace it with (someone recommended G-10 fiberglass laminate), and what I might be in for in the process of swapping it out.
