Past works are dismantled and rebuilt live, their fragments reshaped by algorithmic processes and hands-on control. The result is a constantly shifting sonic environment where memory and invention collide, creating an experience that is irreproducible and shared in the moment with the audience.   Recently relocated to the Bay Area to serve as Assistant Professor of Composition at the University of California, Berkeley, MATTHEW  EVAN TAYLOR (winds+electronics) performs a solo work and group improvisations with local musicians THERESA WONG (cello),  KJELL NORDESON (percussion), LISA MEZZACAPPA (bass), and MATT INGALLS (clarinet).
