Upcoming Stewardship Council Meeting -- Requesting Public Comments in Support of Pit River Tribe

In support of: 

Hat Creek Planning Unit

Fee Title donation to Pit River Tribe of 860 acres within the tribe's ancestral area/within 100 miles square. This parcel is of much cultural and historical significance to Pit River Tribe as it extends between the Pit River and Hat Creek. 

The Stewardship Council Staff and Board Members have mentioned the importance of hearing from Tribes and Tribal leaders. It is also beneficial to hear from local Tribal community members to provide public comments of support. 

 

We are requesting support from tribal leaders, THPOs, Tribal Organizations and representatives to demonstrate the strong community support for land currently held by PG&E to be transferred to the Pit River Tribe.
