Hey folks,

Just want to let you know that I checked out the results of the survey
that I posted here last month. The most popular response people gave
about their professional goals was ...
(drum roll please)

Get Licensed!

I'm not surprised. Are you? After all, getting a license means more
money, professional respect, and a lot of internal ego-boosting. I
know the license exams are tough, but I'm personally convinced that
anyone can pass the exam as long as two core conditions are met.

1. You have to be willing to put in some hard work.
2. You have to have access to someone (and their written materials)
who has actually passed the exam before.

That's why I've committed to holding some hands and walking folks
through the testing process over the next several months. I've
committed to offering a TON of resources, some free and some at a
really reasonable cost, with the goal of helping as many people as
possible to pass the exam between now and Thanksgiving.

You'll likely see an increase of postings to this group, and I'd
encourage you to spread the word. To my knowledge, nothing like this
has ever been done before, and I'm not sure whether I'll ever do it
again. If you know folks who have struggled with the testing process,
or even folks who are testing for the first time, please let them know
about this group.

As I promised when I created the group, I want to make sure that folks
here get everything they need to be wildly successful as a mental
health professional. Stay tuned for what's coming next.
