There are a minimum of 3 (and a maximum of 6) seats available for the BJCP Beer Judging Exam to be held on Sunday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. in the iPub at Saint Arnold Brewing Company, 2000 Lyons Ave.
You must be vaccinated, wear a mask when not seated and follow social distancing protocols in the Exam area. This is for the health and safety of all participants, proctors and Saint Arnold staff.
You must have passed the BJCP Online Entrance Exam ( http://dev.bjcp.org/exam-certification/exam-program-overview/online-exam/ ) in order to sit for the Judging Exam. If you have passed the Legacy exam with a 60 or better or are a current BJCP judge, you need only pay the re-take fee to sit the exam. The format is 6 beers, 6 scoresheets, and 90 minutes of exam time from the first poured beer. Your scoresheets will be provided. You are not allowed any style guidelines or printed references, no use of electronic devices beyond a basic calculator is allowed. Bring multiple pencils, mechanical is preferred to avoid any trace aroma from wooden ones. If you are taking the exam for the first time, your cost is $40.00. If you are re-taking the exam, your fee is $15.00.
