August 2016 meeting agenda:
1) New member introductions - If you are visiting us for the 1st time please let us know at the meeting.  It's always great to see new faces!

2) FART schedule - For those new to BAM, FART stands for Friday Afternoon Revival Time.  It's a great way to meet new people and share a few drinks with new and old friends after a long work week.  Please reference the BAM calendar located at http://mashtronauts.com/calendar/.  Here's a quick snapshot for next few weeks...

8/12 - Nobi
8/19 - J Henry’s
8/26 - Saloon Door
9/2 - Bay View Duck
9/9 - BAKFISH

We are also planning to shift the FART rotation to a bi-monthly basis.  The current plan is to adjust the FART calendar to reflect Galveston Bay Brewing, TBR, Saloon Door, BAKFISH, Beer’s Looking at You, BVD, J Henry's, and Nobi as core locations.  Gordon Street, Dan’s Pizza, Fetching Lab, Beerfoot, and Galveston Brewing are also great options for additional Friday's or SARTs.

3) Dues/T-Shirts - Tim Gamble will be collecting dues at tonight's meeting.  For a quick reference, individual membership is $20 and family membership is $30.  2015 dues are prorated to reflect the remaining time this year.  Also note that we will wave you 2017 membership dues if you renewed or completed your TABC cert prior to LR23.  LR23 T-Shirts will also be on sale at a discounted rate.  Cash, credit card, and Paypal payments are preferred.  Please contact Tim Gamble/Cindy Oberlin or find Tim and Cindy at tonight's meeting if you wish to join/renew your club membership or buy a LR23 T-Shirt.

4) Brew-Ins - The July brew-in was held on 7/30 @ Paul & Ginger's house.  The event was a great success!  3 groups of brewers brewed at the event.  Styles ranged from Irish Red to Wit/Braggot to Kolsch.  The club provided 10# of base grain (Pilsner or 2-Row) for each brewer who brewed at the event.  Thanks again to Paul & Ginger for hosting!

5) Lone Star Circuit - "The mission of the Lone Star Circuit is to actively promote and support the homebrew clubs, contests, and homebrewers of Texas."  Additional information can be found at the Lone Star Circuit home located at http://www.lonestarcircuit.com/.
