The Spring 2019 BJCP Class returns to Thistle Draft Shop (5210 FM 2920, Spring, TX 77388) on Sundays at 1:00 p.m., lasting until 4:00 p.m. (usually). Cost for the class will be $60.00 (a one time fee, not every class). This provides beer for class, cups and ice and a few copies. Class size will be limited to 30 people.
If you can't attend every class, that's fine, but classes 1 & 2 are VERY important classes, as they cover flaws and judging methods and will be used throughout the rest of the course. If you miss them, you’re going to be a little lost when it comes to judging.

The BJCP Judging Exam is tentatively scheduled for 4/28/19. If you’re interested in the Exam, you’ll need to get on that list as well. There are only 12 seats for the Judging exam, although I regularly go through roughly 30 people to fill the seats. The primary goal of this BJCP class is to familiarize you with how to judge beer and how to properly fill out a BJCP Scoresheet. The secondary goal is to familiarize you with BJCP beer styles and flaws you may encounter during judging and improve your ability to discern between different flavors and accurately describe them. What I do NOT cover is the BJCP Online Entrance Exam, which is a prerequisite to taking the Judging Exam.
