Hello,

The 8th Bay Area Mashtronauts meeting of 2015 is scheduled for today, 8/11 at 7PM @ B&S Brewers Guild.  B&S Brewers Guild is located at the following address:

For new members, our club regularly meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the same time and location.

August 2015 meeting agenda:
1) New member introductions - If you are visiting us for the 1st time please let us know at the meeting.  It's always great to see new faces!

2) FART schedule - For those new to BAM, FART stands for Friday Afternoon Revival Time.  It's a great way to meet new people and share a few drinks with new and old friends after a long work week.  Please reference the BAM calendar located at http://mashtronauts.com/calendar/.  Here's a quick snapshot for next few weeks...8/14 Nobi, 8/21 Cock & Bull, 8/28 TBD, 7/31 TBD, and 9/1 Bay View Duck.

3) Dues - Tim Gamble will be collecting dues at tonight's meeting.  For a quick reference, individual membership is $20 and family membership is $30.  Cash, credit card, and Paypal payments are preferred.  Please contact Tim Gamble or find him at the meeting if you wish to join or renew your club membership.  

4) LR22 - Lunar Rendezbrew 22 was a great success.  Thanks to all who judged, attended or volunteered time at the event, and donated kegs.  We are quickly cycling into planning for next year's event and need all of the help we can get to ensure that the Lunar Rendezbrew continues to be a success.  Please contact me or any of the other officers if you are interested in learning more about Lunar Rendezbrew.

5) LR22 T-Shirts -  They are here...buy them now while supplies last!  Steve and Lisa Gawenis will have them for sale at tonight's meeting.  Short sleeve shirts are $20/ea and long sleeve shirts are $25/ea.

6) Lone Star Circuit - The mission of the Lone Star Circuit is to actively promote and support the homebrew clubs, contests, and homebrewers of Texas.  The Lone Star Circuit is comprised of 10 homebrew beer competitions located in TX.  Last year the Austin Zealots won the "Club of the Year" and Mark Shoppe won "Individual Brewer of the Year".  Here are a few upcoming competitions...

7) 2016 officer elections - Please contact me or any of the other officers if you are interested in learning more about Lunar Rendezbrew officer positions.  Elections will be held at the November meeting.

8) Houston brewery bus - Congrats to Tim Gamble on his involvement with the Houston Brewer Bus tour.  Tim will serve and discuss his homebrew beer in between stops on the tour scheduled for 8/22.  The tour will meet at Nobi at 10:45am, then head to a few downtown breweries (St. Arnold's, Karbach, and 11 Below), and then return to Nobi around 4:30pm.  Jonathan Abary with Houston Brewer Bus tour is in the process of arranging September tours and is interested in our continued support.  Please contact me or any of the other officers if you are interested in learning more about the Houston Brewer Bus tour.

9) Brewmasters Beer Festival - BAM has an opportunity to volunteer at the 6th Annual Brewmasters Beer Festival held on 9/4-9/6 @ the Moody Gardens.  With over 400 craft brews, this is the event you don't want to miss. Interface with industry experts and Brew Brains to put your knowledge to the test. All this plus live music, beautiful scenery and the beach. Head on down to Galveston Island over Labor Day weekend for the 6th Annual BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival - the largest, most comprehensive craft beer celebration at the beach!

There are volunteer spots available at the BrewHaHa Grand Tasting as well as BrewLicious Brews & Foods Pairing.  Volunteer details and timing is listed below:
