Just a heads up that I’ll be starting the next round of BJCP Judging training this Sunday and I need to get a class count so I can set a budget. If you are planning on attending, drop me your e-mail address so I can get you onto the class list! Cost for the entire class is $50.00 (Sorry, but beer isn’t getting any cheaper) and the class will have 8 sessions overall. It’s a lot of fun (except for the off flavors class) and at the end you’ll have been exposed to a range of beer styles, have exposure to discerning flavor flaws and differences between styles, and know how to properly fill out a scoresheet.
Details about the class schedule:
6/14/15 Session 1 - Intro, How to Judge (Beer included)
6/28/15 Session 2 - Off Flavors - Light Lagers, Pilsner.
7/12/15 Session 3 - Amber Lager, Dark Lager, Bock.
7/26/15 Session 4 - Hybrids and Wheat Beers.
8/2/15 Session 5 - English Pale, Brown & Scottish Ales.
8/23/15 Session 6 - Porter & Stout.
9/13/15 Session 7 - American Ales, IPA’s, Strong Ale.
9/20/15 Session 8 - Belgian & Sour Ales.
Class will meet Sunday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. at DeFalco’s Home Wine & Beer Supply, 9223 Stella Link, Houston, Texas.
If you are planning to attend, please send me your e-mail address! Thanks!
