This is the 4th duct cleaning email today from a different person. If this isn't spam, I don't think this is the appropriate channel to keep advertising this even if well intentioned. Is this is spam, how do we fix this?

This isn’t a personal issue - these emails have been getting sent to the whole server this morning, again from different individuals every time. So I am replying all to ask - does anyone know how to address this? I am not an admin of the server.

Apologies - I have removed the 3 spam bots from the group and changed the setting so that new members' posts are moderated. I will connect with other admins to make sure they know that most requests to join are from spam bots so we don't have this issue in the future. Thank you for the settings pointers.

Sorry everyone -- that was my bad!!! Aaron has kindly fixed the group settings and given me some tips about how to avoid letting spam bots into the group now, so I hope to do better!!! 💪
