Hello all -

The Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation's signature Prototyping and Fabrication course taught by Christopher Myers is still enrolling students for Summer Session 3: Jun 23, 2025 - Aug 15, 2025 (Tues and Thurs noon-3pm).

"This course teaches concepts, skills and methods required to design, prototype, and fabricate physical objects. Each week relevant techniques in 2D and 3D modeling and fabrication are presented, along with basic electronics. Topics include a range of prototyping and fabrication techniques including laser-cutting, 3D modeling and 3D printing, soldering, and basic circuits."

It's a fantastic class and it's open to non-UC Berkeley students as well as 16 and 17 year old high school studentsEven if this year doesn't work, keep on your radar for next summer... Jacobs often offers this over summer.
