Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an opportunity that may be interesting for science teachers or educators working with biology/biotech topics.

A group from Stanford is currently expanding the CRISPRkit classroom program, which introduces students to CRISPR and modern synthetic biology through guided, hands-on experiments. They are also organizing a pilot study evaluating AI-supported classroom experiments, and are looking for schools or educators interested in hosting the program.

The Stanford team from Qi Labs would come in and deliver the educational experience with students, while also studying how these kinds of tools can support learning in real classroom environments.

We ran the program with 10th-11th grade students, but the appropriate age may vary depending on the science curriculum and classroom context.

If you or a colleague might be interested in participating, or would like more information, please contact:

They’re hoping to work with a variety of classrooms as they build out this large-scale study, and it could be a great opportunity for students to get exposure to real biotechnology tools and concepts.

Feel free to share with any science educators who might be interested.

Best,

Baxter
