This is a new LP-FM station, so Im quite sure they are looking for volunteers--in other words, no pay. But its an opportunity to get a local show on the air. I know many of the folks at the SF Public Press; they're very nice people, and hard-core news junkies.

Open Call: New Programs for KSFP

KSFP banner

KSFP is seeking proposals for radio shows/podcasts to air on 102.5 FM in San Francisco. We welcome proposals from experienced audio producers who have shows that are ready to air and need a terrestrial broadcast home and streaming online home, as well as novices who are eager to learn and willing to put in the time and effort required to produce great audio programs.

We are most interested in recruiting and developing programs that are:

  • relevant to local audiences
  • compatible with our journalistic tone
  • compliant with FCC rules
  • not self-promotional (organizations)
  • nonpartisan
  • of high production quality
  • stable/reliably produced
  • civic minded or of public-interest relevance
  • compatible with our timing format
  • eager to showcase under-represented voices

Our selection process will favor news, public affairs, storytelling and cultural shows/podcasts. Programs should be focused primarily on San Francisco and the Bay Area, but can include stories that illuminate local concerns with reporting from outside our region.

For more details and to apply, review this form. If you have questions about our requirements or the selection process, contact us at ra...@sfpublicpress.org.
