Hey guys, sorry about this being more confusing than just leaving things as they were. Dan gave me some guidance, and I think all the permissions are now set to anyone in the group can do anything, including add new members, post, control how much email you get, whatever. Hopefully this will be helpful. If it ends up just being annoying, we should just go back to emailing everyone.

I'm cc'ing the email addresses of people who haven't joined the google group yet, but to whom (I think) I've sent invites. Lemme know if you need another one.

Yours in confusing technology making a simple unplanned thing into something complicated with rules,
ms

Hi Molly -- don't think I received an invitation to this group, though may have passed it over inadvertently.

Hi Molly,

I guess you are referring to the Sonic Soiree Bay Area listening group?
I didn't know there was a problem -- But I'm glad you fixed it! Uh...
unless this is about something else.

thanks for all this work, but I'm not clear exactly what, if anything, I need to do to keep receiving the e-mails. If it's join a Google group, what's the group called?  Can someone distill this thread down to its essentials?

Thanks!

Fire Safety Reminder:

Hi folks,  Honestly, this is important because a close friend of mine had a house fire that started due to soot buildup in the chimney/basement collector space. It smoldered for a long time and eventually burned part of their home. That incident really scared me, so now I’m getting my own chimney cleaned regularly.

We’re scheduling a chimney cleaning service with Michael, and if a few more people join, we can get a group discount. Normally this costs up to $400, but with 3-4 houses it's $169 per house.

Creosote is highly flammable, and if it builds up, it can ignite and spread fast to the roof and walls. Regular cleaning removes that risk. We’ve used this company before and they do an excellent job. (They also do $149 for duct and $149 for dryer cleaning if anyone needs that.) If you’re interested, please PM me your contact info and address, and I’ll coordinate a convenient time for everyone. or text me at 240-202-8145 and don't forget to mention Michael's name. I’ll add you to the list.
