I had made a post a few weeks back about a nivida display adapter driver not working. I had received an answer that worked and was using that for a while and only until recently did it start to hinder me. It didn't matter If I was playing a game that didn't need a high quality visuals, talking to my friends or working on a project it would crash my computer and disconnect. eventually it bothered me when I kept losing my progress on my projects so I looked for a replacement online. I followed a tutorial, only for it to not work and tell me to remove my driver completely. I've tried the official nividia/geforce site for a replacement but none of them want to install. Also as a extra kick in the head I realized the issue was it overheating and my cooling fan (Which wasn't in use because my laptop was sent in for repairs and came back mostly ok aside from the entire left side ports not working so I chose the mouse over the cooling fan) could have easily prevented this from happening. So here I am, asking for any good ways to find and install a replacement display adapter driver for my nitro 5 gaming laptop. It would really help out a lot since what's the point of a gaming laptop if it can't play games that aren't made in decade old engines.

It would help if you told us what exact Nitro 5 model and gpu you have and what OS you are running? As a gaming laptop function depends on how your laptop is setup overall, as there are other drivers that intergrade with how your laptop functions overall and in the actual game settings. You not only need to install the latest NVidia GRD graphics driver, but you need to install all the Intel drivers (use the Intel DASA scan) and all latest WU and have the right settings for the games you play. For the NVidia graphics to perform properly in games, your Nvidia graphics needs to be properly setup through Control Panel and also use their GeForce Experience settings for the games you play, as this is a way to easily setup the gpu for whatever games you play.

On the latest Nvidia GRD graphics drivers, what I've found, is that the best way to install a new driver is to completely uninstall the previous driver offline and then install the new driver offline too and make sure that WU does not update them, so watch the WU and disable any auto Nvidia driver that WU tries to install. As I've done all the above on my Nitro 5 and it functions perfectly on Win-11 22H2 latest version and all the above.

For the OS it's windows. Not 100% sure this is the model I think it's an AN515-55. I can't remember the graphics card that I deleted other then it was a intel(R) UHD graphics card. I have no idea what Dasa scan or "WU" is.

Go into Device Manager>Network adaptors>chose your Wireless Adaptor>right click properties>Driver>Update driver>Browse my computer for driver>Browse and then go into the Downloads Folder where you have downloaded the Wi-Fi driver to and reinstall this new driver, as all this will make your wireless option of your PC work.

If you go to users folder and click on the user name you can see the pictures, music, docs , videos of each user. You can even backup it folder by folder individually whichever you want to the usb flash drive or external hdd.

There are two alt keys on the keyboard. If you look at the bottom row of keyboard you can see the one on the left side of space bar and the other on the right side of space bar. The alt key on the right side will be looking like alt, alt gr or alt car. Turn off the computer. Hold the alt key on the left and tap f10 continuously. It will go to repair mode. It will show you chose an option, continue, troubleshoot. If it is not going to repair mode, turn off the computer. Turn on the computer. Hold the right alt key ( alt gr or alt car or alt ) and then tap f10 continuously. It will go to chose an option continue and troubleshoot..

Note: You can also go to chose an option , continue , troubleshoot by holding the alt key + tapping f10 or alt gr + tapping f10 on the keyboard while turning on the computer. Once you see the troubleshoot option, you can stop tapping the f10 and stop holding the alt key. Then you can try the keep my files and remove everything ( just remove by files and fully clean the drive ) by following the steps which was mentioned above.

If you uninstall the Wi-Fi drivers from your system, the operating system (OS) may no longer recognize the wireless adapter and it becomes unusable. If you choose to uninstall the driver, make sure to download the latest available Wi-Fi driver before starting the process.

I am attempting to image some Acer Travelmate laptops with Win 7. These originally came with Win 7 were reimaged with XP. When pxe booting I get the message that the correct driver is not on the pxe server. I have injected every broadcom driver that is listed for this laptop. Both XP and 7. Still get the message. Flashed BIOS. I need some help please.

I had something similar a long time ago on a older Dell. i am having hard time remembering the details. Check the BIOS and make sure the NIC is enabled. are you pulling the drivers form BRoadcom or from ACER, or have you tried both?

Yes, nic is enabled in BIOS. Flashed BIOS to see if that helped as it has with others in the past. Did not help this time. I pulled the driver from Acer, which only lists 1 lan driver. Tried Broadcom, had 3 possible drivers depending on chipset which I am unsure which chipset the Acer uses. Actually tried 3 drivers sets, both XP and 7. Injected all drivers into the .wim.

I have been trying to get Windows 8.1 working on my Acer C720 laptop (chromebook) as have many others, we have been able to get it mostly working aside from video acceleration, which when the Intel graphics drivers are installed results in the screen appearing blank, if a monitor is plugged into the HDMI port there are strange lines across both or one of the screens which react to mouse movement etc.

I was wondering if this could be some kind of problem with the drivers for the 2955u and if so any help getting correct drivers for it would be greatly appreciated, I will try and post a picture at some point. I realise this is not the norm, but users who want to run windows have nowhere else to go as a licence agreement between acer and Google prevents them from giving us Windows drivers themselves. Although strangely the Linux drivers work fine on this device :Sproblem

Hi thanks for the quick response, here is the information requested, at the moment I have to close the laptop so that it disables the internal screen and then the HDMI port works but it seems to no longer detect the other screen afterwards,

Here we have a special situation. The laptop you have supports the Chrome Operating System. This means that you can try loading a different Operating System but the internal components on the unit have been designed to work with the original Operating System therefore at this point, the best option is to contact the Computer Manufacture and confirm with them if Win 8.1 can be used with the system and if so, they should be able to provide the drivers for the computer.

Ever dive into a high-res game only to find the graphics glitching? The culprit might be outdated graphics drivers, which draw every pixel on your screen. They shape the visuals in gaming, streaming, or browsing. Want a performance boost? Updating your drivers on your Acer device is the first step.

Your graphics card (or GPU, the graphics processing unit) and your graphics driver form a dynamic duo to ensure your visuals are crisp and clear. Regular updates from your graphic card manufacturer are critical for optimal performance.

An updated graphics driver can boost your system's performance and visual output. Linus Tech Tips tested an older NVIDIA GTX 480 across four games, using five different driver versions spanning the past four years.

Their findings? Some games experienced a 10% performance boost, while The Witcher 3 saw a massive 30% increase after a few years. That's a significant uplift, demonstrating the power of updating your drivers.

Before plunging into driver updates, create a system restore point. It's like a time machine, taking a snapshot of your system's current state so you can rewind the clock if an update causes issues. System Restore won't touch your personal files but will undo recent system changes like driver updates. It's a smart move before you hit the update button.

The update process is similar whatever the driver: graphics, monitor, or audio. To kick things off, identify your graphics driver - knowing the manufacturer and its model is critical. The two major GPU makers are NVIDIA and AMD. Let's find out which version you're rocking.

After identifying your current GPU driver version, visit your GPU manufacturer's website for the latest driver release. If the version numbers align, your driver is up to date. If not, it's time to update to the newest version.

A simple driver update can unlock better performance. With the steps outlined in this guide, keeping your graphics drivers updated in Windows 11 is a breeze. Dive in, and let your visuals do the talking.

Got an email about a component driver from Acer called the SR1 and thought it looked pretty good in the picture so I ordered one to try out. Have to say it looked even better in person when it arrived. Fairly basic design with a cup face and adjustable weight in the back. Excellent shape and size with a matte black finish.

Wow. That's gotta be the first new Hireko driver head in like forever. In 2014 I played a bag that was 13 of 14 clubs from Hireko. Only exception was a Cally 3W, and played it down to a 3.1 index. Inexpensive doesn't have to mean cheap or poor performance. Their cosmetics aren't up to OEM standards but many of them perform. The Acer XS Professional iron is to this day in probably my top 5 iron sets of all time.
