I am trying to connect to a network printer that is a Toshiba e-Studio3505AC. At first I tried doing it through System Settings > Printers > Add > Network Printer > Find Network Printer. I entered the host address but wasn't sure what to select for Connection. Based on what I was able to find online, it seems that it is supposed to be one of the LPD/LPR queue options; but which one isn't clear. Based on other things I found online, I assumed it was LPD/LPR queue ''. Clicked Forward. When using Select printer from database, I select Toshiba (recommended) then click Forward. I look though the list and it isn't there. When using Search for a printer driver to download, it just finds Toshiba e-Studio350. So I figured I needed the PPD.
To download the latest drivers & utilities for your printers and multifunctional systems please enter the model name - e.g. "e-STUDIO5008LP" or "B-EX4T1". Before installing a driver please make sure it can be used with your system by checking the list of models in the Related to section.
I want to install network printer Toshiba e-Studio 455, but in Driver database there are only entries for 450, 450s, 451c, 452 and 453.
When I used driver for 450 and tried to print test page, printer printed page with following context:
You can download the latest Windows drivers, tools and manuals for Toshiba Tec products.
These drivers are only for use with Toshiba Tec Printers. Toshiba Tec and its subsidiaries cannot take any responsibility for damage caused by the use of these drivers.
I use the IP address to join the printers. It is the most stable on all networks, with the software choice of the Toshiba driver(cups filter). Toshiba rarely changes the filter, it is the most stable I have in the field with Macs among the manufactures we service.
Does anyone have Toshiba printers serving chromebooks? We have some loaner Toshiba-E-Studio 6506ac's in currently while our contracted printer company is trying to get what we actually ordered in. From what I've been told they are also Toshibas (us IT department still doesn't know what models) however Google Admin console apparently only has drivers for really old Toshibas and nothing particularly newish from when I went over the list with the repair guy that had come out to retag our current machines.
Currently it does seem to work with the driverless set up but there's been some odd quirks like the printer showing as disconnected or out of paper but if you go to print it'll still go through. I've also noticed that it doesn't show the name of the person who started the printjob, it only says 'chomos'. I also seem to recall hearing that Google has discontinued some printing related features and given how bad their documentation can be I'm not sure what is and isn't available as far as trying to make it as good as possible. Currently we do not have a print server though we have in the past but that's been repurposed into a AD server after they stopped using the print server.
I downloaded the driver from the Toshiba website. I had to add the printer using the IP address and it added it and found the driver. But when I try to print a document, it does not work. I can see the document in the queue but it says it is on hold and won't print. Any ideas?
Without a printer driver, your computer cannot send information to a printer in a format the printer understands. In order to print anything, you need to install the relevant printer drivers on your computer.
On the next screen, click IP up top and then type in the IP address of the Toshiba device. It should detect it on the network, then detect the driver you just installed, which will populate under the last field, Use. In the example image below, the name TOSHIBA ColorMFP populated in the Use field after we entered the IP address.
If you could not find the exact driver for your hardware device or you aren't sure which driver is right one, we have a program that will detect your hardware specifications and identify the correct driver for your needs. Please click here to download.

To use AirPrint, you don't need to install an app, additional drivers, or other software. AirPrint is a technology built into most popular printer models, including the printers and print servers listed here.
Similar to AirPrint printers, these USB devices allow you to print or scan without having to install additional drivers. Because they require a USB connection, they support driverless printing or scanning only from Mac computers.
Mac OS X users who need to print to Toshiba network printers on which job accounting is enabled should follow these instructions to pre-program the printer driver software. Job accounting is the feature that requires you to use a special numeric code (typically four or five digits) to gain authorized access to the printer.
(These steps were created and tested under Mac OS X 10.12.6, using Safari and the print driver software for a Toshiba e-STUDIO 7506AC-series printer. The illustrations below may differ from what you see on your computer.)
All PPD files of this driver entry are available in the PostScript Printer Application Under this entry Toshiba's PPD files for their PostScript printers are hosted. PostScript printers are supported natively in Linux and Unix environments, so you only need the PPD file for your printer, no driver executables, to get access to all printing functionality. The PPD contains all information about properties and user-settable options which are specific to the printer and makes printing dialogs show these options and allow the user to control all the printer's functionality. Note that PPDs only support the printing functionality of the printers, not things like scanning or faxing. These printers also work, like all other PostScript printers, with generic PostScript PPD files, but then you will not get access to all the printer specific functionality.
To use any computer device, software (driver) is required. It is recommended to use the original software included with the computer device. If you don't have the software and can't find it on your computer device manufacturer's website, we can help. Tell us the model of your printer, scanner, monitor or other computer device, as well as the operating system version (for example: Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, etc.).
Our company has an issue involving some printers/drivers that are not working correctly with Adobe v9.1.2 but do work with v8.1.3. These are issues where the pages print blank unless a partner selects "print as image". Oddly, they are not all image files; some are true PDF files.
The software package provides the essential drivers and sample code developers need to interact with MCU peripherals, permitting a fast start to new projects and helping accelerate completion. The package includes low-level drivers with a well-defined API and examples for all on-chip peripherals. These samples include software to configure the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for voltage measurements, control the communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C) for various data transmission scenarios, show how the code and data flash memory is used for storage and data protection, and manage other peripherals including the digital noise filter, watchdog timer, oscillator-frequency detection and trimming, and cyclic redundancy check (CRC) function.
